Cardstock zette box assembly tutorial!

No need for sourcing plastic cassette boxes when you can craft them yourself out of paper in the zinester way!

Supplies:

• Cardstock (60 to 110lb paper weight)
• Printer
• Scissors or craft knife
• Double-sided tape, glue, or glue stick

Instructions:

1. Download the templates and design your box! You can do this step digitally, or print the templates and scan/photo  them back in. 
2. Print  the box parts you want. Print at 100% scale for the proper cassette box size.
3. Cut on the INSIDE of the thick outer lines.
4. Fold along each of the thinner fold lines.
5. Use double-sided tape or glue (thin coat or glue stick) on the thin rectangular sides bordering around the main rectangle body shape, on the opposite side of the little fold tabs, and on the tips of triangle flaps.
6. Fold up the first border crease all around to make the walls, and glue down the little tabs to the long border side walls to make the corners.
7. Fold down the next border crease, long sides first, to make the walls, securing down the triangle flaps to the box floor.
8. Repeat for the smaller inner box if you chose to make it.
9. Cut and fold the sleeve if you chose it, gluing the longer piece over the shorter extra flap.
10. Test and make sure the box fits in the sleeve! You may need to adjust the position of where you glue the sleeve flap to get the proper fit.
11. You have a zette!

Tips!

• Make sure that if you use a photograph to digitize your analogue-made design, that you then align the photo along the digital template files, if you'd like it to still be cassette-box-sized. (and also so the fold lines are nice and straight!)
